Am back again š Here I was , relaxing on a nice Sunday morning, watching a bit of a steamy romantic scene on Youtube. okay… agreed, Indian Soap do not have steamy romantic scenes. All they have is two actors looking at each other passionately with sad ass music playing in the background. After much staring, we see the male lead leaning forward and its left to the audience imagination to see a hot passionate kiss.
And this scene has been AGE RESTRICTED! LOL… i am sorry. i couldn’t help but laugh. All you mother hens and society conscious women out there must be protecting their little Ā chicks saying … what is that you say … the CULTURE of our country, what will our kids learn?
Yes, Mother Hens of our country! what will kids learn? When they see, you and all others intently watching the heroine getting insulted repeatedly again and again. from Public humiliation, to characterĀ assassination. Somehow its ok for your kids to see girls getting humiliated by men and suffer silently? Why are people wasting energy making a hue and cry for decently shot romance while sitting back and enjoying women being degraded.
Let me give you a small scenario.Ā One episode, where the couple are trapped in a hut and is “super hot”Ā receivesĀ low TRP while an episode where the hero throws the girl out the house and tells her to sleep on the floor gets the highest TRP. And yes.. brutal emotional torture is some how not required to be age restricted. Sadists much are we? Families watch soaps together they say. Do you know thatĀ restrictingĀ something makes its all the more desirable? Do you want young minds to grow up thinking that its ok for a women to be bashed around because they are the weaker sex? What does all these questions say about the women in our country?
So lets see… why is there an order for age restriction for anĀ amateur romantic sceneĀ ? Is is cause we ourselves areĀ embarrassedĀ when watching it? We think its a taboo. Come one people. we areĀ descendantsĀ of Ā people who wrote the Kamasutra, of the people who carved erotic sculptures, and generations later we have become prudes.
Ever hear of the Forbidden Fruit? Are we creating this need ourselves for the younger generation.
